Who was Ruth?

Let me tell you about an incredible woman named Ruth. She was Mats Åqvist's grandmother and was born in 1908 in Eskilstuna. As the oldest of four siblings, Ruth naturally took on great responsibility.

In 1937, Ruth married her true love, Knut, and theirs was a real love story. They met while both working at a bakery between the wars. Knut was a charmer, and Ruth was grateful to have him in her life.

But Ruth was more than just a loving wife and mother. She was a spirited and creative soul who never let age hinder her from fully embracing life. I remember how she used to call Helene and Mats and say, "Get up and get moving, the blood is stagnating," to make them realize the importance of not wasting the day.

Ruth was an inspiring woman who made a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories.
